Michael Ruehle is Head, Hybrid Challenges and Energy Security Section at NATO. Before joining NATO in 1991, he was a Research Fellow at the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Bonn, and a Visiting Fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Washington, D.C. He has published widely on transatlantic security relations and co-authored a book on ballistic missile defense.
